Törggelen

It is time again. The annual time for 'Törggelen' in South Tyrol has started and everywhere in the region wine cellars and farm estates invite to take part in this old tradition. After the old habit of the farmers and the wine merchants the newly harvested wine is being tasted between October and December. Therefore, regional delicacies are being served. In South Tyrol the Eisack valley is known as the origin of Törggelen, the appearance is also being connected with the banquets of this time, which took place to thank the farm workers for their efforts.
