New ProAlps hotel page
The new ProAlps hotel page with numerous functions is online. From now on there will be a new search function, an automated request, a localization tool as well as an own detail page for each ProAlps adventure hotel. Additionally, the hotels can be listed in categories or sorted by the regions Ahrntal, Bozen / Bolzano and surroundings, Dolomites, Eisack valley and Pustertal. Our recommended hotel and the hotels of the month complete the offer. The page can be found in the hotel area of the ProAlps page or at http://www.adventure-hotels.com.
World natural heritage Dolomites
A bit more than a year ago, the Dolomites have been declared world natural heritage by the UNESCO. From a geologic, botanic and scenic point of view they are unique and belong to the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world. Also Reinhold Messner states, that the Dolomites maybe are not the highest mountains, but the most beautiful ones. Furthermore, they offer a huge potential for all kinds of active sports as well as many more leisure facilities. The probably decisive question for the future is, how this natural heritage can be preserved and used economically at the same time. The province of Bozen / Bolzano has received the competency for tourism and mobility in this matter. In the summer 2011 a management plan with a strategy for sustainable touristic development of the area is supposed to be presented to the UNESCO. We will follow the connected development with lively interest.
